Paintings, Books, Prints, Photographs, Films, Audio Recordings, and more…

This blog gives me the opportunity to write about all of the amazing historical artifacts I come across in my work as an art collector and appraiser.

I’ve spent over eight years as a rare book dealer in Seattle, over five years as a principal appraiser for Housing-Works in New York, and since 2013 I’ve been simultaneously employed as a consultant appraiser at Gurr Johns art advisory firm and as a property specialist at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles where I handle celebrity estates and collections.

I’m a member of the National Auctioneers Association, a graduate of the NYU appraisal studies program, and I have successfully completed the USPAP course and exam highlighting the congressionally recognized standards promoted by the Appraisal Foundation.
